We are a group of womyn of color who serve on the Board of Casa Atabex Aché. We welcome you to our website and would like to share our thoughts with you. We have been in existence since 1994. Since 1998 we have been housed in the Mott Haven community in the South Bronx. This community stands as the poorest congressional district in the United States. We are proud of all the accomplishments Casa has achieved. In particular, of the work conducted with our youth because in them lie the strength and vision of our future. Our vision is to have more women from Mott Haven become part of the board, developing and enriching programs for their sisters. |

Just as we have been nourished and received so many blessings by being here, we hope that the youth and other women will choose to take our place. We are here because we believe in healing the individual and the collective. We support the empowerment process to activate critical thinking and help our sisters rediscover tools for healing. Casa is where we sisters come to support each other and remember how to take care of ourselves. We encourage you to learn more about Casa and become a part of our family.
